Kentucky official: State fund won't cover major highway projects

Kentucky's transportation secretary stopped short of endorsing toll roads to help pay for the Ohio River Bridges and other highway projects, but he said last week the state's road fund won't be able to foot the $4.1 billion bill for the projects. The state's Transportation Cabinet is due to issue a report soon that evaluates the possibility of introducing toll roads.
