Arkansas minimum flow project receives Army approval

The Army Corps of Engineers will soon start construction on White River Minimum Flow Project, which will impound more water in Arkansas' Bull Shoals Lake and reallocate waters in Norfork Lake. The project, which will help sustain trout fisheries, has been debated and planned for more than three decades. The project was officially approved by the Army last week, and the construction phase is expected to cost $5.5 million.
