CMS releases "road maps" to address problems in health care

The CMS has released a set of documents showing how the quality and value of the health care system, particularly the Medicare Fee-For-Service program, can be improved. In its Quality Measurement, Resource Use Measurement and Value-Based Purchasing Roadmaps, CMS also warns that the Medicare Part A Trust could become bankrupt by 2016, partly as a result of the current economic downturn.
