Pasta sales are bubbling

Pasta makers saw a 5% jump in U.S. sales last year as consumers' concerns about the economy trumped concerns about high-carb eating. "It's like a certain number of people rediscovered pasta," said Peter Smith, CEO of New World Pasta, maker of Ronzoni, American Beauty and Creamette.
