Study: 87% of consumers have broadband access at home

The Continental Automated Buildings Association research arm, the Connected Home Research Council, issued a report on the connected-home market. The study found that 87% of consumers had broadband access at home, and 43% had home networks. "What consumers want most is an easy, seamless way to integrate their smart-home devices, their mobile device, their TV, their appliances, you name it," said Carol Priefert, a Whirlpool senior manager.
