Human resources managers have been telling management for years to make sure sales teams keep the balance between their work and home lives, but the dire state of the economy has leveraged unprecedented levels of stress, which taps them out even before they arrive for work each day. Some ways managers can try to refocus their energy to involve communicating honestly, being empathic but holding sales agents accountable for performance, coaching staff to not inundate themselves with dismal news reports and leading by example.
