A widely followed measure of investor sentiment in Germany dropped more than economists had expected this month as businesses worried that the recovery of Europe's biggest economy is slowing down. The index of investor and analyst expectations published by the ZEW Center for European Economic Research dropped to 47.2 in January from 50.4 in December. It was the fourth consecutive month of decline. The consensus forecast of economists polled by Bloomberg News was that the index would slide to 50.
