Kansas City casino revenue dampened by December blizzard

A blizzard in Kansas City is blamed for a 7.4% decline in casino revenue last month for the area's four casinos. "It has been a long time since we've had this kind of weather impact," said Ameet Patel, general manager of the Argosy Casino Hotel & Spa in Riverside. Kansas City casinos took in $720 million for 2009, a 0.1% increase from 2008.
