Proposed new routes, fresh advocacy are seen for Calif. high-speed rail

California's High-Speed Rail Authority has proposed three alternative routes through Fresno -- all adjoining the Union Pacific corridor and all elevated 60 feet above the ground for a 12-mile stretch. Meanwhile, in San Francisco, an advocacy group is trying to rally additional support for statewide high-speed rail.
