Guyana eyes use of ethanol-blended gasoline

Guyanese officials are considering a plan to mix locally made ethanol into the country's gasoline supply in a bid to spur foreign investment and reduce costly fuel imports. A molasses-to-ethanol plant being built by U.K.-based Whitefox Technologies and its Brazilian partner, Green, is due for commissioning by May, said Agriculture Minister Leslie Ramsammy.
