Higher omega-3 intake curbs diabetes risk in study

Data on 2,212 men showed that those who consumed more than 5.3 grams of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids daily had a 33% reduced risk of type 2 diabetes onset compared with those who had less than 3.62 grams per day. The results appear in Diabetes Care.
