Hong Kong teacher finds students' perceptions are their reality

Student perceptions have an impact on their learning and understanding, according to Anjali Hazari, who teaches IB and IGCSE biology at the French International School in Hong Kong. Hazari writes in this commentary that students learn best when they perceive that their classroom environment is positive. "Although students receive the same instruction from the same teacher in the same classroom, each student will interpret that experience differently, and take different things away from the lesson," Hazari writes.
