Study to determine how students fare under maths curricula in Ontario

The US Department of Education is funding a study of the maths curricula in Ontario, Canada. The goal of the project, led by researchers at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, will be to examine elementary-school student achievement in maths under the province's curriculum with achievement under the JUMP curriculum -- a combination of traditional teaching methods and discovery learning.
