The Hudson School District in Wisconsin recently held its second Women in STEM event, which aims to give girls an opportunity to learn more about careers in science, technology, engineering and manufacturing, according to this article. Representatives from local businesses and postsecondary institutions talked with attendees about such careers. "If you love hockey and skating, you can build ice arenas or design ball fields or build roads," said Angela Popenhagen, an engineer with Stevens Engineers of Hudson, who displayed exhibits at the event. "The possibilities are unlimited no matter who you are," she said.
