Marriott International hopes business travel recovers in 2004

CFO Arne Sorenson says positive economic activity could spur business travel, but the company is waiting to see how the coming months go before signaling a new revenue per available room forecast. Gains in overall hotel room revenue have been reported for the second half of 2003, but Sorenson says that data doesn't tell the entire story for the industry.
