Food allergy drugs in development

Food allergy sufferers still must keep clear of certain foods to avoid dangerous allergic reactions, but biotechnology companies are working toward drugs that could greatly minimize their burden. Genentech, Novartis and Tanox have teamed up to test a federally approved asthma drug to see if it is effective for people allergic to peanuts.
