Analyst: Higher-margin natural products a recipe for profit

Food, beverage and personal care companies are boosting profits by pushing higher-margin products such as functional foods and enhanced water options, such as vitaminwater and smartwater drinks, an industry expert said. This shift indicates that companies are adjusting to changing consumer needs and demands, many of which are related to health and nutrition, the analyst added.
