Brickman to appeal seasonal worker ruling

The Brickman Group is planning to appeal a recent federal court ruling ordering the Maryland landscape design company to give back pay to foreign H-2B workers. Last week, a Pennsylvania district court said Brickman must pay back visa costs, labor broker fees and transportation costs it had deducted from some 100 workers. "This has not been our understanding of what the law is," says Mark Hjelle, president of The Brickman Group.
