Tennessee gets FCC grant to implement health IT

The FCC has granted Tennessee $7.8 million to implement health IT in rural health care facilities. The head of the state eHealth Council says the grants will help build a foundation for Gov. Phil Bredesen's push for the use of more technology in the state's medical community, including e-prescribing and an EHR system.
