Missouri program gives at-risk students CNA training

Three Missouri groups have created the Believe to Achieve program, which pairs at-risk high school students with a nurse's aide to explore health care careers. The program also gives participants who complete it most of the hours required for CNA certification and the possibility of a job interview at the hospital. The hospital's nurse residency program manager, Easy Stilson, says feedback has been positive and the program builds students' self-esteem and confidence.
