South Korea to host world's largest tidal power plant

GS Engineering & Construction Corp. plans to build the world's largest tidal power plant near Seoul, South Korea. The $3.4 billion facility will be operated by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., and will generate up to 1.32 million kilowatts. Construction will begin in the second half of 2011 after the project receives regulatory approval.
