FDA issues changes to recognized medical device standards

The FDA has posted on the Federal Register a range of modifications concerning about 150 standards recognized by the agency for reviewing medical devices under its premarket review process. The updates were published to help companies that claim conformity with the FDA's consensus standards satisfy certain medical device rules, the agency said.
