Scientists develop a virtually stain-, liquid-proof material

Researchers have developed a "superomniphobic" surface coating for fabrics and other materials that can repel water, blood and even hydrochloric acid, according to findings published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society. The coating, which combines silicone with an organic-inorganic polymer, could be used commercially and for military purposes.
