TSA continues to respond to known threats

The Transportation Security Administration has not consistently kept track of surrendered items at checkpoints, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. "TSA continues to be responsive to the threats that it knows are out there," said TSA spokeswoman Lorie Dankers. In 2008, the agency stopped counting some banned items because it became too "labor intensive."
