Analysts cite possible hurdles for IT job hunters

Some IT hiring analysts point to economic and political factors to say IT job hunters may find things more challenging this year. One trend is the increasing use of consulting and contract employees, which Computer Economics says is at its highest level in 16 years. Another is a slowdown in the creation of IT jobs, which Foote Partners says has decreased by 60% since last summer. Other factors cited include continued debate over immigration reform, the lack of salary growth and complicated job descriptions.
