Colleges work to extend beyond their borders

Some college and universities in Virginia are taking steps to ensure students receive a global education. Initiatives include recruiting more international students and expanding study abroad programs. "Having a vibrant and diverse population of international students on our campus enriches every aspect of our intellectual community," said Stephen E. Hanson, vice provost for international affairs and director of the Reves Center for International Studies at the College of William and Mary.
