HP brings Windows 7 PCs back "by popular demand"

Hewlett-Packard has shifted from promoting PCs equipped with the latest version of Windows for its predecessor, Windows 7. The heavily promoted change is a response to consumer distaste for Windows 8, the most radically modified version of Windows in 20 years. On its retail site, HP says computers featuring Windows 7 are "back by popular demand."
