Pluristem reports positive results of stem cell trial for muscle injury

Pluristem Therapeutics announced favorable results from a clinical study of its PLX-PAD stem cell treatment for muscle injuries. The PLX-PAD treatment was well-tolerated and was associated with increases in maximal voluntary isometric contraction force of the gluteal muscle after six months. "Based on these results, we intend to move forward with implementing our strategy towards using PLX cells in orthopedic indications and muscle trauma," said Pluristem Chief Executive Officer Zami Aberman.
