New recommendations coming in U.K. to deal with drug safety

The National Patient Safety Agency is leading the effort to prepare a guidance on prescribing, dispensing and administering drugs for cancer and thinning blood after a series of medication errors led to death or injury. Safety officials already are working with the drug industry to deal with errors, create better labeling and avoid similar names on medicines.
