Raleigh pushes toward eco-friendliness, slowly

Raleigh, N.C., is moving towards its mayor's goal of becoming a greener city, but not at a high speed. While the City Council recently pledged to reduce the city's fossil fuel consumption by 20% over the next five years, some say nearby Asheville has more impressive policies, such as an ordinance requiring all new municipal buildings larger than 5,000 square feet to achieve LEED certification.
