American says late deliveries will trim capacity by 1%

Due to production delays at Boeing Co., American Airlines says it will take delivery of only 29 new 737s this year, not the 36 originally promised. American says the revised delivery schedule will result in an additional 1% cut in capacity, because it won't use older MD-80s to take up the slack.
