Baton Rouge hotel market booms amid concerns of overdevelopment

Although the economy finally is beginning to slow hotel development in many cities, activity still is booming in Baton Rouge, La., raising concern of a possible glut in the market. Hurricanes Katrina and Gustav have helped boost occupancy rates in the city, but group business has declined and experts worry the hurricane occupancies distort the true visitor numbers.
