Hawker Beechcraft looks for widespread layoffs

Hawker Beechcraft Corp. warned its 9,800 employees on Wednesday that job cuts this year "could very well touch all areas and levels of the company due to the severity of the challenges we face." Vice President Rich Jiwanlal said in a letter that plans would be finalized within weeks, and that "we are taking every possible step to minimize the impact of the reduction on our employees, their families and our company."
