U.S. property market still struggling with tight credit:

A lack of credit will continue to hold back the U.S. property market in 2009. The ongoing problems are expected to cause spikes in vacancies and default rates while prices continue to slide. "Many property [investors] are finding it difficult to sell assets and refinance existing assets," said Colin Thomasson, managing director at DTZ.
