Citizenship project inspires good deeds in South Carolina classroom

A South Carolina teacher helps students think about personal responsibility and community involvement through a social studies lesson that focuses on what they can do to be better citizens. Students interviewed their parents about citizenship, performed good deeds, completed art projects about citizenship and compiled what they learned into a book that their teacher is having bound.
