Recent construction at Indianapolis International Airport cost $1 billion, but planners are already thinking about how to boost further development. Under consideration? An aerotropolis -- modeled after airports in Asia that are considered mini-cities with high-end designer shops, cinemas, tropical forests and golf courses. "The concepts are exactly what we as a community need to be thinking and talking about," said Roland Dorson, president of the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce. "It does seem like this could be a very long horizon of time, and that's OK to be thinking 50 years in advance."
