Residents blast proposed passenger flights at Wash. GA airport

More than 400 people showed up at an FAA hearing on Thursday to protest plans for commercial flights at an airport near Seattle. Paine Field in Mukilteo already handles some 144,000 general aviation flights per year, but many residents are opposed to adding 8,000 commercial flights, citing noise pollution and environmental harms. Horizon Air and Allegiant Air have requested permission to operate scheduled passenger service at Paine Field, which currently operates at less than 40% of capacity.
