Schmidt: 2010 will be a breakout year for Google display, mobile ads

Google, riding the momentum of a 17% jump in sales in Q4, is forecasting an even better year ahead during which display and mobile ads will really come into their own, CEO Eric Schmidt said. "Our display business will give advertisers the opportunity to reach people with visual stories and narratives that they couldn't with search-ad text," Schmidt said during a call with analysts.
