Plastics, other indirect jobs seen as benefits of ethane cracker

The prospect of a "world-scale" ethane cracker in Pennsylvania may provide as many as 17,000 "spillover" jobs, such as in plastics, according to the American Chemistry Council. "Look at any [ethane] cracker in the world and you'll see at least one plastic manufacturing plant next to it," said Paul Badger, a chemistry professor at Robert Morris University.
