Inauguration gives way to government involvement for students:

A charter network in New York invited students, their parents and others to gather to watch on television Monday as President Barack Obama took his second oath of office. At the event, students also were invited to take part in government by sending their ideas on how to improve schools to Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and N.Y. Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
