Kan. county planners postpone decision on BP wind project

The Planning Board of Pratt County, Kan., postponed to Feb. 18 a decision on whether to issue a special use permit to BP Wind Energy's proposed Ninnescah wind farm so it could gather more information and feedback. BP Wind Energy selected Pratt because of its wind resources, nearness to transmission lines and community support for the project, said Karl Pierce, business developer for the company.
