Student asks Waco, Texas, to protect LGBT workers

A straight Baylor University student is leading an effort to get the Waco City Council in Texas to adopt a LGBT non-discrimination ordinance. The student said she initiated the effort after learning it is legal in Texas to fire someone because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. "We can’t change it in the state, but we can change it in our city. We can change it in our community," Susan Duty said.
