Va. facility to get reactor simulator from Areva

Areva will develop a nuclear plant simulator for the Center for Advanced Engineering and Research's facility in Bedford County, Va. The simulator, which will be part of the facility's configurable control room, will allow studies into human-machine interference and human factors, Areva said. "It gives us the ability to actually run real scenarios in that control room," said Bob Bailey, executive director at the center.
