Panelists have divergent visions for EU cybersecurity

Security experts at a recent industry forum in France were unable to reach a consensus on the state of European efforts to bolster regional cybersecurity, with some saying government programs have failed because of an archaic regulatory framework and legacy standards. David Lacey, a U.K.-based consultant from IOActive, says the European cybersecurity sector needs not only an influx of new talent but also a less bureaucratic approach that allows for quicker responses.
