Scientists turn to perskovite in developing graphene solar cells

01/22/2014 | IEEE Spectrum online

Perskovite, a mineral, is being used as the sunlight absorber in solar cells under development at the Universitat Jaume I in Spain. Those photovoltaic systems employ graphene and titanium dioxide as the charge collector, the Spanish scientists report. The energy conversion efficiency of the solar cells is 15.6%, it was said.
