Starbucks mobile app caught storing unencrypted location data

Starbucks said it has added security protections to its iOS application after revelations the app stored e-mail addresses, passwords and location data in cleartext on the phone that could be downloaded by anyone with a PC and physical access to the phone. Starbucks didn't say specifically what its new measures consist of, and a spokeswoman noted that a "theoretical vulnerability still exists."
