Houston Tackles Youth Obesity Issue

About 37% of Houston's schoolchildren are overweight, according to a Texas Children's Hospital study. The study was released after the surgeon general's plea for a heightened awareness of an epidemic that has serious health implications for school-age children. Researchers attribute Houston's obesity problems to schools' lack of commitment to physical activity and to the computer and television age.
