DOD approves plans to buy V-22 Osprey through 2013

Internal budget documents show the DOD has approved plans to buy up to 35 V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft each year through 2013. The military believes the plane will be useful for long-range Marine Corps and commando missions. Textron and Boeing build the aircraft.
