Wis. group will not seek licensing fees on Calif. stem cell discoveries

The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, which claims sweeping patent rights to all federally approved U.S. stem cell lines, cleared grantees of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine from paying royalties on discoveries they make. One consumer rights advocacy group said the Wisconsin group should relinquish rights altogether.
