Colorado lawmakers work to expand nurse duties

Colorado is working on legislation to expand nurse duties amid a doctor shortage in the state and has passed two bills that give advanced-practice nurses better treatment by insurance companies and Medicaid. Another bill is pending that would allow advanced-practice nurses to sign physicals, home health care instructions and do-not-resuscitate forms.
